Do I really need a full-size truck or is midsize enough?
Debating between a Tacoma and a Tundra. I don't tow heavy - maybe a small utility trailer once a month. Mostly hardware store runs, mountain bikes, daily commuting. Full-size feels like overkill but midsize isn't much cheaper used.

For your use case, midsize (Tacoma, Frontier, Ridgeline) is absolutely right. Better fuel economy, easier parking, lower running costs. The Tacoma holds value well so it's not much cheaper used, but you get it back at resale. The Ridgeline is worth a look - drives like a car and has a trunk in the bed.
Only go full-size if you need interior space or real towing capacity. Since you don't tow heavy or need to seat five adults comfortably, midsize is the right call. Save on gas, tires, and parking.
