What's the most reliable midsize SUV under $30K used?
Looking for a used midsize SUV for a family of four. Priorities: reliability, cargo space for strollers and sports gear, decent fuel economy. Budget $25-30K. Considering CR-V, RAV4, CX-5. Which do you recommend for high mileage?

For pure reliability, RAV4 is the benchmark - the 2.5L and 8-speed (2019+) are proven past 200,000 miles. CR-V is a very close second (the 1.5T has some oil dilution concerns in cold climates, so consider the hybrid). CX-5 is the most fun to drive with the nicest interior, but long-term data is slightly behind Toyota and Honda. My ranking: 1. RAV4 Hybrid, 2. CR-V, 3. CX-5.
The CR-V has noticeably more cargo space than the RAV4 and much more than the CX-5. With two kids and strollers, that might be your deciding factor. CR-V rear legroom is best in class.
